Pam Foss trained at the Arts High School in Newark, New Jersey, before embarking on a career as an artist. Largely through self-study, she found initial success in the field of equine sculpture, and a version of this horse bronze is in the permanent collection of the Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville, Kentucky.
