A carved mahogany half model, signed on the back with carved initials "CJB."Chris Booras is a woodcarver from Cape Cod. Living near the water and the beautiful landscape of the Cape has influenced Chris in his artwork. His favored subjects are the elusive animals of the sea, including blue fin tuna, white sharks, and humpback whales. He uses a variety of wood for his carvings but is most noted for his hardwood carvings, sanded and polished to achieve a smooth surface. Chris strives to create graceful works of art that combine the beauty of the natural wood and the awe inspiring subjects of the sea.
