Woodcock
oil on board, 9 1/2 by 13 1/2 in.This painting appeared in John Alden Knight's 1944 book, "Woodcock," a copy of which accompanies the lot. The book is number 8 of a limited edition of 275 and is signed by both John Alden Knight and Edgar Burke.
