This black duck is made in a similar style to the maker's famous canvas-covered geese. In the case of these rare black ducks, Boyd executed fully finished carving to both the front and back ends of the bird. The undersides of the bill and tail are branded "BEAN."
Mostly original paint on the head and working paint on the body with gunning wear, including a chip to the tail.
