This shorebird decoy exhibits carved eyes, a through-splined bill, raised wings with defined primaries, and stippled paint. The Ketchams were one of the founding families of Amityville. Parts of Copiague were once in Amityville and both villages were part of the township of Babylon. In 1900, Albert worked for the U.S. Lifesaving Service after previously being a fisherman.
