A model of a forty-pound fish caught by Lord Leconfield on the river Spey, October 6, 1888. This model depicts a bright fish, fresh in from the sea. Swanson chose this exact carving for the cover of the slipcase of “Fish Models, Plaques & Effigies.”
Provenance: Lord Leconfield, hung in the "Smoking Room" of Gordon Castle, Fochabers, Scotland
