- Lot Description
Stanczak, Julian, text by Harry Rand, Color / Color: Suite in four parts, 1993, number 27 of 40 copies, complete with 20 color op-art plates, each one is initialed and numbered by Stanczak on the front and also titled and dated on the verso; signed by Rand and Stanczak on the colophon; loose sheets in black cloth slipcase (15.5 x 12 inches), The Dov Press, Washington, DC, a collaboration between painter and poet, the images were adapted into digital form and printed on Arches. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution, but with no stamps, stickers or signs of former ownership; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Condition
Plates in very good condition, bright and unmarked; occasional faint ghosting to the facing text; slipcase scratched and lightly stained and with bumped corners.
