Set of Gorham sterling silver Lyric pattern flatware housed in a mahogany box, American, 1940s. Together with a set of 12 Towle sterling silver spoons. 121 sterling silver pieces total. Includes: 12 dinner knives with stainless steel blades, 12 personal butter spreaders, 1 carving knife with stainless steel blade, 1 carving fork with stainless steel tongs, 1 cheese server with stainless steel blade, 4 demitasse spoons, 1 small ladle, 1 larger ladle, 1 serving fork, 3 serving spoons, 1 jelly server, 1 master butter knife, 1 olive fork, 1 lemon fork, 7 cocktail forks, 12 iced tea spoons, 12 teaspoons, 12 soup spoons, 1 sugar serving spoon, 12 dinner forks, 12 salad forks, 12 Towle monogrammed Aristocrat pattern teaspoons. All with appropriate marks. All housed in a mahogany double handled flatware storage box lined with chocolate brown Pacific silver cloth. Flatware measuring from 4.25 to 10.5 inches, box measuring 6.5 x 16.25 x 11.75 inches. Approximately 109.53 ozt combined, not including the pieces with stainless steel components.In overall good vintage condition, apart from usage related wear. One teaspoon with significant dents at handle, dinner knives with more significant scratches throughout.
