- Lot Description
Paschke, Ed (Edward Francis), (American, 1939-2004), Playboy 40th Anniversary Logo, 1993, color oil pastels and mixed media, 10.75 x 8.75 inches, signed in pencil, dated, and inscribed Playboy 40th Anniversary Issue Cover, framed 17.75 x 14.25 inches. This drawing was the study for the 40th Anniversary issue of Playboy, January 1994 Issue, with an accompanying note from the artist on the reverse, "Dear Alex, Here is the color sketch that the Playboy 40th Ann. Cover is based on. The slight bend in the center won't show when it is framed w/ mat, I hope you enjoy it. Sincerely, Ed Paschke". Provenance: Darthea Speyer, Paris; a Speyer Family member.
Condition
