Describing this bronze the artist writes, “Inspired by my sketches of cowboys, I wanted to start using this medium in the most simple way, which is a figure standing. The idea of it being a rancher old timer with a rifle came as I was working on it and listening to the novels of C. J. Box ‘Joe Picket.’ So many characters in these books, ranchers and cowboys from Wyoming and Montana … it all gave birth to ‘Tom.’”
