Circle of Alexander Calder (American, 1898-1976), Untitled (Blue-Green-Orange), circa 1967, painted metal stabile (maquette), sculpture, unsigned, overall: 34.25"h x 20.25"w x 9.75"d. Provenance: Property of a Berkeley, CA collector; collection of Alberto Mustri (Mexico City, Mexico). Mr. Mustri was selected to document, photographically, the work of Alexander Calder on the monumental sculptures for the Estadio Azteca at the Camino Real Hotel. These projects were part of the preparation for the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. The two men became friends and spent time together professionally and socially. When Mr. Calder left Mexico, Alberto Mustri was given various items from the Calder studio.
