(lot of 3) U.S. Civil War archive relating to Major Conrad Seeber, New York, consisting of his Ames model 1850 Infantry Officer's sword with brass pommel, shark skin grip, and US guard, held in a metal scabbard having 'Major Seeber' engraved on one side and a Mason's compass on the other, Major Seeber's original framed Commission as a Captain of the 65th Regiment, 31st Brigade, 8th Division of the New York National Guard on January 3, 1863, and a facsimile photograph of Major Seeber in uniform and wearing his sword; sword 39.5"l Note: As the war progressed the 65th Regiment of the New York National Guard was folded in to the 187th Infantry. This infantry regiment fought at Appomattox and was present for the surrender of General Lee at Appomattox Court House. Major Seeber was mustered out on July 1, 1865
