Japanese wooden settee, Meiji period, of a reddish dark brown color, the back carved with a dragon above two phoenix with inlaid eyes, raised on dragon shaped supports and arm rests each with a jewel in the mouth, the seat carved with auspicious characters and flowers, overall: approx. 16.5"h x 60"l x 24"d; purchased at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair
