18kt Gold Watch With Box/Papers. A men's vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date (President) 18kt yellow gold automatic watch Ref: #: X144828m model #: 18038 with service box/cert. This Rolex manufactured in 1978 based on serial #: (5724371) features a 36mm 18kt yellow gold Oyster case, 18kt yellow gold fluted bezel, sapphire crystal, Cyclops lens, silver dial, gold tone Index (stick) hour markers under lume dots, luminous gold tone stick hands, gold tone sweep seconds hand, 18kt yellow gold President bracelet, 18kt yellow gold Oysterlock Crown clasp with a date letter of D (1979), and a fine Swiss made Rolex certified chronometer (COSC) Cal. 3035, 27 jewel automatic movement with a 48hr power reserve. The total approx. weight of the bracelet and end links is 43.8 dwt (gross), total approx. weight of the case back is 4.7 dwt (gross), and the total approx. weight of the watch case is 35.6 dwt (gross) including the movement and crystal. The original service box, warranty certificate, service tag, cloth, and service booklet shall be included. From a Stamford, CT estate. Dimensions: watch fits up to an approx. 7" wrist.Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Watch was running prior to auction. All watches are sold as is regardless of functionality. Watch exhibits a damaged stem. It is currently not feasible to set the day, date, and time. Bracelet exhibits dented links. Lug and crown are exhibit rash as pictured. The watch was last serviced in 1990. Bracelet is well worn and exhibits band sag.
