Clay. Signed on the bottom edge. Honore Daumier (French, 1808 - 1879 ). From the Madison Ave, New York estate of an art dealer. Further provenance: Ecole des Freres; Debois sculpteur; Alexis Rudier (per dealer's records). - Dimensions: Approx. 18" high x 18" wide x 12" deep.
Condition
Scattered losses throughout, some losses to just the patina but also losses/chips to the clay. Areas of cracking, most notably at the left shoulder and a just below the collar on the right.
