Lane Coder was born and raised in New Canaan Connecticut. He then moved to New York City where he attended Parsons School of Design and studied Fine Art. He then moved to Paris, France where he studied photography at Parsons School of Design and Art History at the American University of Paris. From 1999-2000 Lane attended the Rhode Island School of Design where he continued studying Photography and Art History. Lane then moved to Los Angeles, CA where he studied photography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he graduated with a BFA in Photography in 2003.
Lane currently resides in Bar Harbor, ME and enjoys working as a commercial photographer while incorporating his fine art sensibilities.
Lane also has work in the permanent collection of The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Lane's clients include: Vogue, The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Architectural Digest, Dwell, Apple, Coca Cola and Smirnoff through ad agencies such as: Media Arts Lab, Ogilvy & Mather, Saatchi & Saatchi, Select, Iris Worldwide and BBH. His work has also appeared in International Publications such as: Vogue Japan, Vogue Russia, Architectural Digest Russia, Architectural Digest Germany, GQ Germany, The Daily Telegraph London and Vanity Fair Italy.
Lane currently sells his Fine Art editions through ClampArt NYC.
