Considered one of Americas’ Master Potters and a groundbreaking Ceramicist, Alice was born in Selma, Alabama and has maintained her studio in New York City and Upstate New York, since 1990. Alice received her B.F.A. in ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute. Her ceramics have been shown in major National and International ceramic exhibitions and museums. “Like Dale Chihuly, in glass, Hohenberg’s new work boldly bridges the divide between utilitarian ceramics and expressive modern sculpture. The museum quality work in the auction represents both traditional vase forms and the artist’s desire to break free and the technique to do so.” Her work is in many private and public collections.

Works can be retrieved the night of the Gala for winning bidders in attendance or from the CITYarts offices in NoHo for online bidders throughout NY. Shipping will otherwise be coordinated on a case by case basis for lots sold to bidders out of state, internationally, or for NY residents who require shipping, and the buyer agrees to cover these costs.
