18k world-class designer articulating diamond rose brooch by Ruven Perelman. This exquisite rose features petals that open and is set with 2.70 carats of VVS/VS diamonds.
The rose has five independently cast petals that are mostly constructed of windowpane-style glass enameling in a light brownish-orange with latticework. On the edge of each petal, there are six bead-set round brilliant diamonds that are VS in clarity and approximately 0.70 carat total weight. The leaves are attached to the center of the flower that houses a pin and ball assembly that gives the petals flexibility and rotation, with small sections of fabric to reduce the friction on the metal.
There are 19 stamens individually set in the assembly with the ability to freely move, with each ending in a round brilliant diamond. There is approximately 2.00 carat total weight of VVS diamonds on the stamens.
The stem has three enameled leaves, a dark orange-red flower bud, and an enameled stalk of grass, each hand-chased.
The brooch has an engineered design and is completely hand-fabricated and is signed by Ruven Perelman.
Ruven Perelman came from six generations of jewelry makers. He was born in Tel Aviv in 1950 and was a master goldsmith renowned for his handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces.
There are some small areas of wear to the enamel. The petals at the bottom of the flower are more loose than the others due to gravity / wear. Overall very good condition.
