- Lot Description
Antique c. 1870 Ornate French Bronze Mantle Clock from Henry Marc, Paris. Ornate pierced, scrolled body with Urn Finial, original beveled glass face. Stunning repousse floral scroll face with porcelain enameled Roman numerals. There is no key to the clock and no pendulum. We wound the clock with a test key and it runs, but it is untested for timekeeping. Measures 4.50"x7.50x13.50" weight 9 pd. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate. Parisian Henry Marc was one of the best known clockmakers and retailers in France in the 19th century.
