Silk twill Persian inspired design prayer rug design in with peacocks. The names of the women who worked on the panel are hidden in various places throughout the design. Hewnoaks was the home of the Douglas Volk family in Center Lovell, ME. It was also an art colony and Arts and Crafts Community frequented by many of America's most well known artists at the turn of the 20th Century. 70 x 44 (stains, tears, fragile areas) Fair.
