- Lot Description
T. Barny (American/California, act. 20th/21st Century), "Effleurage", bronze abstract sculpture with sapphire patina. 82" H x 13" W x 10" D. Note: according to the artist, this is the only bronze he created that was not originally carved in stone, but rather carved from a California Walnut tree. The mold was taken from that carving and then cast and finished with a patina. A copy of the original receipt is available to the winning bidder. Biography: T. Barny earned a BFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design and is a working artist in California. His work has been shown in over 100 galleries worldwide and he has participated in more than 600 individual and group editions.
