- Lot Description
1st item: Robert Hollands Walker (United Kingdom, 1852-1920) watercolor on paper titled "Belaggio, Lake Como" depicting a bucolic seascape with boats at shore next to a dirt road with horse and wagon foreground and a village with mountains in the background. Signed lower right "R. H. Walker." Housed in the original J. Davey & Sons giltwood frame and retains the original framer's label with the artist information. Sight: 7 3/4" H x 11 3/4" W. Framed: 14" H x 18 3/4" W. 2nd item: Thomas Bush Hardy (United Kingdom/France, 1842-1897) watercolor on paper depicting sailing boats on choppy water nearing a port with lighthouse and a town visible in the left background. Signed lower left "T. B. Hardy." Housed in a gilt wood frame. Sight: 11 3/4" H x 21 1/8" W. Framed: 17 3/4" H x 26 3/4" W.
Condition
1st item: Some spotting noted to the painting along to right and left margins. Some interior spotting to the glass, primarily to the left side. Frame with old repaint, minor losses to the lower left corner. 2nd item: Overall very good condition.
