1st item: Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) lithograph entitled Le Visage, 1964, depicting Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler in a style similar to the artist's well-known 1910 Analytic Cubist painting of Kahnweiler in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. Signed in pencil, lower right. On BFK Rives paper with partial watermark, lower right. Ref.: Bloch 1179; Mourlot 403. Floated in a gilt and ebonized wood frame with white textile mat and gilt reveal. Sheet: 11 5/8" H x 9 7/8" W. Frame: 26" H x 24 1/8" W.
2nd item: Andre Masson (France/Spain, 1896-1987) abstract color lithograph in pink and green entitled Isis, Héraclite et le fleuve, 1964. Signed in pencil, lower right. Sheet: 11 1/2" H x 9 3/4" W. Frame: 26" H x 24" W. Both floated in gilt and ebonized wood frames with white textile mats and gilt reveals. Note: Both lithographs from editions of 200 printed for Werner Spies (ed.), "Pour Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler," published by Gerd Hatje, Stuttgart, 1965.
Both items in excellent condition. Both are hinge mounted to backing with archival tape.
