Group of 10 baskets including blue stained carrying basket with sliding lift top and fixed wooden handle, likely New England; 12-1/2" H to handle x 12-1/2" wide; Large round carrying basket, oak with cane weavers, indented base, 17" H to handle x 15-3/4" W; Red stained carrying basket with wooden swinging handle, indented base, 9-3/4" to ring x 12" W, 2-handled carrying basket with 2 wide oak weavers, 12" H x 11-3/4" W; Small split oak carrying basket with brown stained weavers, square base, 8-1/2" x 7-1/4" W; Split oak carrying basket with woven handle, 10" H x 16-1/2" W x 11" D; Stained Penobscot purple sweet grass covered basket, 4-3/4" H x 13-1/2" W x 5-1/4" D; Small Penobscot birch carrying basket with curled weavers and fixed wooden handle, 5" H x 4-1/2" W; Penobscot birch carrying basket with woven divider, band of curled weavers and fixed wooden handle, 13" H x 18" W x 12" D; Penobscot birch basket with double ring handles, curled weavers along band, 7-1/4" H x 8" W x 9" D. 10 items total. New England and Penobscot, Native American, all first half, 20th century.Surface grime on most baskets. Some breaks on Penobscot baskets, mostly on large rectangular basket. Base of large round carrying basket with loose weavers.
