Memphis, Tennessee coin silver cup or mug with beaded rims, hollow squared double C scroll handle, and presentation engraving "To Robert Brinkley Snowden from his grandmother Snowden, March 19, 1869." Marked on underside in rectangles: F.H.CLARK & CO. and MEMPHIS along with GW&H for Gale, Wood and Hughes (New York). 3 1/2" H, 5.06 oz troy. Robert Brinkley Snowden was the couple's firstborn son. Several other pieces of silver, documents, and paintings that descended in the family are also being offered in this auction.
Some denting and marks erasure to underside, otherwise very good condition.
