1st Item: Photo on toned paper of the Ernest Ipsen's 1931 portrait of Robert E. Lee as Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point, 9 1/4" H x 6 1/4" W. 2nd Item: A photograph of the portrait hanging at West Point of a young Robert E. Lee in his U.S. Army uniform, painted by William Edward West in 1838 (notes by Horn on reverse indicate this photo was used in his book "The Boys' Life of Robert E. Lee", 1935); 9 3/4" H x 7 1/2" W. 3rd Item: A black and white photo on paper of Charles Hoffbauer's "Summer" portion of his "Four Seasons of the Confederacy" mural in The Virginia Museum of History and Culture located in Richmond. Card: 10" W x 8" H. 4th-5th Items: 2 copies of Brady's photographs of Lee after his surrender, one standing pose, the other seated with his son G.W. Custis Lee and Colonel W.H. Taylor standing beside. Printed on 8"x10" glossy paper by Dementi Studio (backstamp). 6th-8th Items: 3 prints of Lee on his horse Traveller, from Michael Miley's Sept., 1866 photograph, one on 8x10" glossy paper; an early 8x10" print on matte paper, and a 6 1/2" W x 5" H. on matte. 9th Item: Lee on Traveller in a city scene usually identified as Petersburg, VA, printed by Dementi Studio with a soft focus vignette surrounding horse and rider, 8"x10" paper. 10th Item: Lithograph portrait on paper of Lee, from Forbes Litho. Co.'s Famous Americans Series, page 11 3/4" H x 8" W. 11th Item: Print on paper of Vannerson's 1864 standing portrait; 9 1/2" H x 6 3/4" W.
All in good condition with previous owner pencil notations on reverse; older photo of Traveller with considerable damage to top of paper; Forbes litho has small tears.
