Nine (9) books by Carl Sandburg on Abraham Lincoln. 1st-2nd Items: 1st Trade edition (after 260 Deluxe Copies) of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: THE PRAIRIE YEARS by Carl Sandburg, New York, Harcourt Brace & Co. 1926, in two volumes, in dark blue cloth boards; signed by Sandburg on pasted-in flyleaf, with accompanying 1940 signed letter from Sandburg replying to this book's signature inquiry, among two other pieces of correspondence from a bookbinder; 3rd-4th Items: ABRAHAM LINCOLN: THE PRAIRIE YEARS by Carl Sandburg, New York, Harcourt Brace & Co. 1926, in two volumes, 1st Edition, later printing in dark blue cloth boards, signed by Sandburg with inscription on half-title page; 5th Item: LINCOLN COLLECTOR by Carl Sandburg, New York, Harcourt Brace & Co. 1949, stated First Edition, signed on limitation page indicating copy 2271 limited to 2425 copies, retains bottom uncut pages; 6th-9th Items: ABRAHAM LINCOLN: THE WAR YEARS. New York: Harcourt, Brace & Company, 1939. First Trade Edition, later printing, 4 volumes in dark blue cloth boards with gilt stamped spines.
All books in Very Good condition with bookseller pencil marks inside the front cover on the front free end paper; 1st Item, 1926 Prairie Years: both volumes with slight rubbing to spines, Volume 1 with split endpapers where signature page is pasted in, Vol. 2 with slight inkstaining to lower page edges; 5th Item (Collector) previous owner's bookplate to pastedown.
