Kentucky Coin Silver Soup or Punch Ladle with round bowl and fiddle-coffin handle, monogrammed JH, the reverse marked A. Blanchard in rectangle with single eagle mark (Asa Blanchard, working Lexington, KY 1808-1838). 11 7/8"L, 3.4 oz troy. Ref. Marquis Boultinghouse, Silversmiths of Kentucky, 1785-1900, pp. 69-77, mark illustrated p. 299, fig. 29D. Deaccessioned from the Headley - Whitney Museum, Lexington, KY.
