- Lot Description
Set of antique Sterling silver and Mother of Pearl handled flatware, including 12 knives with stainless blades and sterling ferrules (9") plus 12 matching forks (7 1/2"L), 2 serving forks and 6 spreaders; and 6 knives with silverplated blades and sterling ferrules (8 1/2") plus 6 matching forks (7 1/4"L) and 2 spreaders. There also 5 items with silverplated or unmarked ferrules: a 2 pc steak carving knife and fork set; 1 odd knife ( 7 1/2"L), 1 knife sharpener, and 1 gravy ladle. 51 pcs total. Late 19th to early 20th century. Housed in a later felt lined wooden case.
Condition
Overall very good condition. Some oxidation to blades and ferrules, a couple of handles have minor abrasions, nicks or dark spots of discoloration.
