- Lot Description
1st item: Antique Turkmen Yomud or Yomut pillow with four rows of four guls each, wool on wool, red, blue, and cream colors. 2ft 1in x 1ft 2in. 2nd item: Antique Afghan Baluch pillow, wool on wool, woven in colors of rust, navy, and cream. 12" x 12". 3rd item: Persian Qashqai pillow, wool on wool, in red, green, blue, gold, and cream colors. 1ft 9in x 1ft 6in. 4th item: Antique Afghan Baluch small runner or pillow face, wool on wool, woven in colors of rust, navy, and cream. 4 ft 3 in x 1 ft 7 in. 5th item: Antique Turkmen Yomud or Yomut double saddle bag, wool on wool. Woven in traditional tribal designs in brick red or rust, cream, black, and blue colors, 3 ft 3 in x 1 ft 10 in. All items Late 19th or Early 20th century.
Condition
The face of the pillows in overall good condition, and the Qashqai pillow with a couple of hole repairs, losses to the backsides, and wear/losses to seams. The runner in overall good condition with minor losses to the fringe. The saddlebag with wear to corners and scattered overall wear to the pile, center with approx 1/2 inch loss.
