Four (4) Confederate Civil War era items. 1st-3rd items: Three (3) POW relics housed in shadowboxes, by oral history from Captain Robert Shapley Ross from Texas, brother of Confederate General Sullivan Ross, during his time as a prisoner of war at Camp Chase. Lot comes with a letter from Bosque Crossing Books and Art noting provenance from the collection of Waco, Texas historian Roger N. Conger. Includes one (1) carved bone blanket pin, inscribed in black ink "1864 Camp Chase"; one (1) miniature powder horn made from cock spur; one (1) row of eleven matchsticks. Note: Camp Chase was a Union Army training camp and Confederate prison camp near Columbus, Ohio, from roughly 1861-1862, and later grounds for the Camp Chase Confederate Cemetary. 4th item: One (1) pocket mirror with wood case, "CSParsons / Richmond" carved to back. All items ranging from 5 1/2" H x 3 3/8" W x 1/2" D to 6 1/4" H x 5 1/4" W x 1" D including shadowboxes. American, 19th century.
