Three (3) Japanese color woodblock prints depicting temples in the rain, including Tsuchiya Koitsu and Shiro Kasamatsu. 1st-2nd items: Two (2) Tsuchiya Koitsu (Japanese, 1870-1949) color woodblock prints, including one (1) titled "Wisteria and Half Moon Bridge at Kameido", and one (1) titled "Nara Kokufuji Temple", from the Collection of Views of Japan series, originally published by Doi Hantagen, Tokyo, circa 1933-37. Depicts rainy nighttime scenes of the Kameido Tenjin Shrine, a Tenman-gu shrine located in Kameido, Koto Ward, Tokyo, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, a 9th-century Japanese scholar; and Kofuku-ji, a Buddhist temple that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples in the city of Nara, Japan. Both with red artist's seal and signature, lower right of image, date and title, lower right margin, publisher, printer, and carver seals, lower left margin, with additional character stamps, top left margin. Depicts a rainy nighttime scene of a lone female figure before trees and the pagoda of Yanaka Cemetery in Ueno Park in Tokyo. Red artist's seal and signature, lower right of image, publisher's seal, lower left of image, title, left margin. Housed and matted under plexiglass in a silver metal frame. All items in overall good condition with various degrees of toning/acid burn, scattered minute foxing spots. 1st - 2nd items: Two tears, largest 1 1/4", to top margin of "Nara Kokufuji Temple" print. Both with residue from previous hinge mounting to top left and right corners, visible en verso. 3rd item: Not examined outside of frame.
