Three (3) Continental School oil on canvas paintings, including Danish and Dutch. 1st item: Einar (Evelyn) Thorbjorn (Denmark, 1911-1985) genre painting depicting Danish townspeople captured in a busy scene of every day life. The painting is somewhat abstract with loosely painted figures and architecture cast in warm colors that suggest an afternoon setting. Signed "E. Thorbjorn, 1946" lower right. Unframed. Sight: 20 1/2" W x 16 1/2" H. 2nd item: Danish School impressionist coastal landscape depicting Stevns Klint, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Danish Coast, with Hojerup Gamle Kirke, a medieval church, built into the side of the cliff. Titled "Stevns" and dated 1952 lower right. Titled in pencil, with illegible inscription and previous owner label, en verso. Unframed. 9" H x 12 1/4" W. 20th century. 3rd item: Andries Verleur (Netherlands, 1876-1953) landscape painting depicting a Dutch canal with three boats at the left, one with figure, on calm water opposite an additional female figure walking along a street to the right. A red roofed dock house, various buildings, and two windmills are depicted in the background beneath a twilight sky with birds in flight. Sighted lower right corner. Pencil inscription "243/202", en verso of stretcher. Additional pen inscriptions, en verso of frame. Housed in a giltwood frame with white fillet. Sight: 5 1/4" H x 8 1/4" W. Frame: 9 3/4" H x 12 3/4" W. Early 20th century.

1st item: Overall good condition with grime and craquelure that is heavier in places where paint was thickly applied. 2nd item: Craquelure throughout with a 3" line of tenting left center, in sky, and light buckling to canvas. 3rd item: Craquelure throughout with scattered abrasions particularly to buildings. Four small holes to corners. Modern frame with losses to gilt, largest measuring 1 3/8" L.
