- Lot Description
Two (2) Alyne Harris (American, b. 1943) Folk Art American flag paintings including one (1) large acrylic on polyester textile with thick layering of paint, and one (1) small framed acrylic on board painting rendered with heavy impasto. Both signed "Alyne Harris" lower right corners, small painting additionally signed en verso. Large: 21" H x 27 1/2" W. Small: sight: 4 1/2" H x 6 3/4" W; framed: 8 3/4" H x 10 3/4" W.
Condition
1st item: Some craquelure throughout and losses along the edges due to heavy application of paint on soft medium. 2nd item: One area of residue near upper center of the work where something was laid on the surface before paint had dried.
