Artist: Bernard Lorjou Title: Picador Medium: Oil on Canvas Size: 30" x 40" approximate canvas size (not including the magnificent frame) Date: 1969 Condition: Good Provenance: Greg Juarez Gallery, Beverly Hills 1969. Clearly, you can see the influence of Picasso's late 1960's painting here. This has EVERYTHING that marks a great Lorjou: COLOR - bright rich colors, YELLOWS, PINKS, VIOLETS. COMPOSITION - great composition SIZE - Great large size CONDITION - Most importantly it is in very good condition. 95% of Lorjou's have peeling, flaking paint etc. This one has only 1 small area of paint flaking, not noticeable, and easily fixed. Compare with similar examples which have sold for over $30,000 at auction
