The auction is for the base only, no chairs or glass.
Odyssey dining table in Chrome and Lucite by Lion In Frost.
The table is just a wonderful piece of art,beveling 2 inch thick acrylic sheet on a curve like this is not easy, it takes a large, powerful sharper and a custom cutter head, the two halves are resting on their sides, and are joined with a metal "star". I the auction is for the base by only no glass or chairs.
This is a patented design, and was one of the most popular fine furniture designs in the Lion in Frost signature line.
The son of one of the original owners of Lion in Frost, Doug Frye, has this one in his collection.
The base is 31 inches wide x 26.5 inches deep x 28 inches high.
Base is 2 inches thick, very sturdy and heavy.
