(New York, 1818-1893) A Market Gardener's Shanty, Bloomindale, N.Y., signed lower left "W. R. Miller.1892.N.Y." with original artist inscribed label verso with title and artist's address, oil on canvas, 12 x 18 in.; 19th century gilt wood and composition frame, lined with wax and linen, restretched on new stretcher, retouch at top in sky affecting approximately 7% of surface, slight rubbing at right edge; frame resurfaced with leaf.
