Clock British, late 17th/early 18th century, square brass dial signed "Robert Danton London", set with later brass eight-day movement, the hood with carved and silver leaf decorated scrolled pediment with bird motif, finely decorated waisted case with Japanned chinoisserie decoration on a bright-red ground, 91 x 19 x 12 in., works and saddle board replaced, restorations to lower section of base, brass finials replaced, some warping to door, cracks and distress at lower waist molding, surface wear and decoration losses with scattered cracks, wear and flaws consistent with age and use; with key.
