Chinese, 8th century BC, elevated on three short modeled legs ornamented with relief animal heads, animal heads likewise form the tops of the C-shaped handles, deep horizontal grooves form the main decoration with taotai and dismembered taotie forming decorative bands on lid and below lip, 9-1/4 x 14-3/4 x 10-7/8 in.
