carved hardwood stonebow with bellied forend, scale carved decoration to entire stock, decoratively carved beveled edges, carved decorative applique to top of rear stock, iron mounts including nose cone, bow, catch, and lever release, knob but stock, possibly 17th century, 33 in overall: 36 in. cherry wood stonebow with bellied forend, arched carving to top of stock, stock end knob, iron mounts including forks, sights, catch and lever release, inset crests on either side of catch, possibly German, 17th century, 36 in. overall

Condition
carved stonebow with handling wear, some surface abrasions with some chips and dings, patina to iron mounts, some iron elements missing such as the metal fork, later bow string in the wrong style with split end, lever and release function; cherry wood stonebow with abrasions to wood, replaced stck end knob, missing metal components such as nose cone and bow set and nail, bow rigged into position with made up components, movement of the bow, later bow string in the wrong style, patina to iron components, release and catch do not appear to function together

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
