Wendover Hills, England, signed and/or inscribed verso "Rudolph Onslow-Ford" and titled, also inscribed "To Edyth Spruce [?] /remembering happy days with her and Robbie/1930", also "returned to her (Gladys Wollerton)/by Robbie/1967", oil on panel, 12-5/8 x 16 in.; wood and composition frame, 13-7/8 x 17-1/4 x 1 in.
Provenance: Gift to Gladys Victoria Woollerton (1887-1979), the artist's sister-in-law; Gift to Edyth and Robbie Spruce; Given back to Gladys Woollerton; Gift to Elisabeth Onslow-Ford, 1970 (note attached verso); By descent in family
Note: Rudolph Onslow-Ford was the uncle of artist Gordon Onslow-Ford and was his first art teacher. He was the son of Edward Onslow Ford, a well-known sculptor.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
