Citron Covered Box Chinese, Qianlong period, 18th century, finely carved cover with diaper pattern with citron lacquered leaves at edges, black lacquer box interior, side with repeating rosettes, straight banded base, 2 x 4-3/8 x 3-1/2 in., base rim of cover with chips, craquelure and crack to lacquer at edge and across one end of cover, losses to interior lip of base and on black-lacquered bottom.
