Porcelain Dish Chinese, 19th century, circular removable cover with circular bowl form finial, marked with four character marks in red, decorated with butterflies, grasshoppers and flowers, opening to reveal six compartments, each elaborately painted with grasshoppers, butterflies and flowers, outside alternating floral designs, circular foot with four character marks in red, sitting on carved teak wood stand, 3-1/2 x 7-1/4 in., chips to handle and rime of dish repaired bad firing anomalies, interior with losses to gilding and enamel.
