Miniatures, Bird's-Eye Maple Frames by E. Fairchild, both dated 1830: portrait of a young lady in a black dress, inscribed "Jane L. King's miniature July 1830", also inscribed by "E. Fairchild presented to Wm. B. Blakesley", in watercolor and ink on card, 2-5/8 x 4-1/8 in.; a gentleman in a blue coat, arms folded, inscribed "Wm. B. Blakesley's miniature AD 1830", verso inscribed "Hand painted by E. Fairchild" (in different hand, and "Miss Elizabeth Cross", 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 in., both with some toning and stains; in matching cartouche-form bird's-eye maple frames with poplar and pine secondary, .
