Featuring items from a family collection of objects acquired in China in the early 1900s from Dr. Stanley Burns. Dr. Burns provided much needed medical care to the local population and helped combat infectious disease. Other Chinese and Japanese items from private collections include Qing dynasty enamel porcelains, bronze and porcelain water droppers, a fine selection of snuff bottles, along with a group of jade figures, bronze Buddhas, furniture and jewelry. comprising: five matching dishes, with enamel plants, flowering trees, and rocky outcroppings surrounding cartouche with floral elements, exterior with bats, gilt rim, rubber seal script stamp, and Guangdong Cultural Relics Bureau #1 brown wax export stamp, 1 x 6 x 6 in.; two similar dishes with enamel medallion decorations, the larger with gilt rim and Chinese endless knot on base, the smaller with Tongzhi Nian Zhi (Tongzhi (1862-74) Period Make) rubber stamp mark, 1-1/8 x 6-3/4 x 6-3/4 in. and 1-1/8 x 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 in.; pair of dishes with four enamel dragons chasing pearls around flaming pearl, Chinese endless knot on base, one with Shanghai Cultural Relics Bureau #3 export stamp, one with Shanghai Cultural Relics Bureau #4 export stamp, 1-1/8 x 6-5/8 x 6-5/8 in.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
