attributed to Mason County, 1795-1815, in figured walnut with poplar secondary, finely constructed, with paneled doors opening to adjustable shelved interior, fitted desk interior above four long drawers, retaining an early possibly original surface, 99 x 45-1/2 x 20-1/2 in.
Note: See MESDA file S-4414. The desk is accompanied by correspondence from Frank Horton to the family regarding the desk. Also accompanied by various 19th century wills, deeds, and other documents relating to the Shanklin, Ball, and Cox families of Maysville and Mason County.

in excellent condition, retaining an early surface, brass drawer pulls replaced, minor old patch at prospect door lock, small patch at one bookcase shelf, original feet and blocking, minor bumps and wear at toes with small repair at one rear foot, some minor surface abrasions and flaws at doors and drawer facings
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
