- Lot Description
(Massachusetts, 1861-1916) Portrait of a Young Woman, signed lower right with estate stamp "M.L. Macomber Studio", oil on paper laid on masonite, 19 x 15 in.; gilt wood and composition frame, frame with abrasions, Abraded at edges, yellowed varnish. Notes: Influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites, Macomber studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and with Frank Duveneck. She exhibited 1890 to 1903 both at the Art Institute of Chicago and National Academy of Design.. Provenance: A Private Atlanta Collection
