Three hand colored engravings of snakes from The Natural History of Carolina, Florida and The Bahama Islands, 1731-1743 edition: T. 45 The Brown-viper, laid paper, plate 9-7/8 x 13-7/8 in., sheet 13-3/4 x 20-3/8 in.; T. 46 The Copper-belly snake, laid paper with Strasbourg Lily watermark, plate 9-5/8 x 13-1/4 in., sheet 14-1/4 x 20-1/4 in.; T. 43 The Water-viper, laid paper with Strasbourg Lily watermark, plate 9-1/2 x 13 in., sheet 14-5/8 x 20-5/8 in.; matching wood frames, largest 21-1/4 x 23-7/8 in.

T. 46 hinged in, toning, light foxing, small stain in right margin, binding edge present, small areas of chipping; T. 43 large loss and restoration to left margin. 3/8 in tear at top, foxing, tear at top edge, water damage to left edge of the sheet outside of the plate, initials and year inscribed in pencil on back; T. 45 with slight toning, evidence of binding edge, small chipping at corners, two restorations within plate not affecting image, handling grime, light foxing, pencil inscriptions, light fading

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
