early American, circa 1700s, 66-1/2 in., tapered round barrel, hallmarks on left side near breech, large 8-1/2 in. flat three screw military style dog lock marked "E. ALLEN" with swivel safety behind hammer, oversized oak or chestnut wood full stock, three wide brass barrel bands, wooden ram rod, large hand forged iron trigger guard, carved "T.F" on right side of butt, 82 in. overall, 19 lbs

handling wear throughout, heavy pitting to exterior of barrel, pitting to other metal components, loss of wood on both sides of forend near muzzle, 5 in. crack with loss to right side of forend, other abrasions and minor cracking along wood grain, wear to edge of stock, loss of butt plate, chips and losses to butt stock, hole in butt stock, four lead slugs in butt stock, condition consistent with age and use, cock, frizzen and trigger in working order

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
