both pistols with 10-1/4 in. blued octagonal rifled barrels, fluting to 7-1/2 in. of barrels exterior midsections, blued and brass blade front sights, case colored patent breeches and standing breeches numbered "1" in gold on one pistol, "2" in gold on the other, blued percussion cap pillars and adjustable rear sights, case colored lock plates with engraved scrollwork signed "L COLLOMBERT A AIX-LES BAINS" in gold, blued spurred trigger guards with engraved crowns, foliate engravings on trigger guard finials, case colored trigger plates and pommels with blued stepped finials, hardwood half stocks with checkered grips, ornate barrel pins, cock screws, and side lock screws, 17 in. overall, comes in original fitted oak case, "L. COLLOMBERT / MAITRE DE TIR / A AIX-LES BAINS SAVOIE" in gilt on interior lid fabric, containing accessories including ball mold, sprue cutter, powder flask, brass loading rod and wooden cleaning rod

both pistols in fine condition containing most of the original surfaces, barrels with 85% of the original blued surface with some wear to fluted edges and some abrasions to rear octagonal section of barrel on pistol number "2", case colored parts with about 90% of original finish, trigger guards with around 95% of the original blued surface, some bluing left on pommels finials, gold inlay and engraving in good condition, stocks in good condition with minimal handling wear, case has split on bottom near font, other scratches and cracks in grain on bottom, crack and separation to top corner of lid, lining in case with age and wear, wear to gilt lettering on lid, fitted compartment becoming loose, upper portion of lock removed, accessories in good condition, one wood pot with chipped lid, both function mechanically
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
